A donation was made in memory of Rocky by
the doctors and staff of the Valley Veterinary Hospital on
Nov 16, 2016.
Rocky was almost a year old when we got him. He was born and lived at a breeders for the first six or so months when a friend of ours rescued him and two other Dachshunds from the horrific conditions they were in. At six months old, Rocky was unable to walk and had ringworm. Our friend got him walking and gave him a home. We named him Rocky due to the "rocky" start of his life.
He lived his life to the fullest. A few bumps in the road along the way, the largest of which was a rattlesnake bite to the muzzle. After three weeks he was his same old self again. He was always around 10 lbs but that did not matter around larger dogs.
He was a great alarm system and always let us know if someone was coming to the house.
We loved him unconditionally and he seemed to feel the same towards us.
He was the greatest dog we have ever owned.
He will be missed a lot.
