A donation was made in memory of Rebel by
the doctors and staff at Crestwood Animal Hospital on
Nov 14, 2016.
Rebel was the 5th of 6 feral kittens that my family brought into our home. She'd actually been in our home her whole life, born in our crawl space.
Rebel was very shy at first, hid most of the time, but once she warmed up to living in the house, she became the most loving and sweet cat you could ever imagine. She'd crawl into my lap whenever she had the chance. She loved to cuddle. She'd hop up on my bed with the tiniest meow as soon as the lights went out. Sometimes she'd crawl under the covers, and I could just hug her the whole night.
The noises that came from her mouth were so absurd and adorable, her meow was more like a peep and she was always, always chattering at bugs. Even after she became very ill, every morning once I'd gone into the bathroom she'd come out from where she had hidden, gave a little peep, and ran in to sit on my lap.
I miss her extraordinarily so. Rebel was with us not even a year before I had to say goodbye, and that year was not nearly enough time with her.
