Scruffy

A donation was made in memory of Scruffy by Donald Cox, DVM MPH at Connecticut Veterinary Center on Mar 17, 2020.

Scruffy Duffy Doodles was a truly remarkable and well loved Bichon. He came home to us in January of 2008 and soon became the master of all he surveyed. He was well known by many people who saw us and chatted with us on our many neighborhood walks. He was my alarm clock, sometimes an hour too early but never missed a morning. He made sure I knew it was bedtime at 8:30 pm as well. He had a fondness for newly fallen snow, but never did his roly growly in his own yard. He loved playing fetch with his well used green fabric ball. No other ball would replace that stinky ball. I will miss sitting outside with him on beautiful spring mornings watching the birds and squirrels. I miss him “yelling” at me when I come home from work. I miss his stink eye when I tel him he had enough treats for one day. I miss his collar jingling when he shook his head so hard I wondered how he didn’t pass out. So many things and so many memories. Scruffy was truly my buddy and I will miss his little face every day for the rest of my life. Scruffy loved each one of his family, from my sons to my daughter and his partner in crime, Lily. He was one of a kind.
