Jay (Rotty and Aussie mix) was 1year old when Kitty (aka Jasper) was born. Jay was present at the birth and thought the whole process was amazing. There where 5 kittens in all and Jay chose the only male to keep. They were fast friends after that. Because of that bond and when it became clear that Jay was failing, I knew Kitty would not be far behind. I made a difficult choice. Both passed on Oct 18, nose to nose, just as the day they met. Jay was almost 15, Kitty was 14. I know that where ever dogs and cats go, they are together playing and napping.
Thank you for allowing me to share my short, but sweet story. I would also like to say that the staff at Lower Columbia Veterinary Clinic are phenomenal! They are compassionate and sensitive with the pets and families. This was my second time, as I lost another elderly dog 2 years and their extreme compassion touched me then too.
