Dexter was a fighter (also slayer of seagulls, bringer of rodents dead & alive, stealer of warm seats, & demander of Greenies) but unfortunately last night he lost the fight with this infection. Chris & I are incredibly grateful that we got even the short amount of time we had with him. He definitely changed us for the better, and we will miss him more than words can express. Thank you to the staff at Green Lake Animal Hospital, who treated his battle injuries on the regular. And thank you to the amazing staff at Animal Medical Center of Seattle, especially Dr. Kevin Attermeier, who was kind, supportive, and infinitely patient with us in the wee hours of the morning as we regaled him with tale after tale of Dexter’s adventures. He’s on to the next one, and we’ll see him on the flip side.
