Cody was my precious little princess. She was also known as "the Bear". My heart will always be broken in pieces without her. She was a brave little girl and ruled everyone in the house. She was my little best friend, protector, and all around angel.
She loved to be outside in the sunshine while we worked in the yard. Cody loved to go for rides in the car so she could stick her head out no matter what the weather was. She love to go to the river with us when we went fishing. Anytime I was at my desk she would ask to sit with me. She always wanted to be behind me in the chair. My back never touched the back of that chair for the 11 years I was blessed to have her. I guess it never will.
I cannot begin to repay all of the wonderful people at WSU Veterinary Teaching hospital. Cody was there for weeks of Radiation treatments for Cancer. They all treated her like family. Everyone who fell in love with Cody will always have a very special place in my heart. She truly left there a cancer survivor.
I found a little saying or a poem the other day that truly sums up what is in my heart.
If tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.
Cody Bear taught me unconditional love, loyalty, and the true meaning of friendship!
I will miss you all the rest of my days...........
