Bear

A donation was made in memory of Bear by the doctors and staff at Valley Veterinary Clinic on Apr 25, 2019.

Our family loved Bear. He had a personality. He tried to train us as much as we tried to train him. He was stubborn. When I first saw him at SCRAPS, he was the one of two dogs that did not bark like the others. His information said he was destructive. When he came home he did chew on our sod and anything else he could find, but he was still a puppy. He became part of our family. He protected our daughter, he loved walks with me, and he greeted Larry at the door every night. We would drive up and his face would be in the front window. The last few years I would come home and he would bark at me for about five minutes because I had not been home. He loved children. When we went for walks in our neighborhood, children would want to pet him (he had the softest fur) and he was very gentle. He also watched children playing. He also loved our lake cabin and was exhausted at the end of the day and for a few days after we left. We don't think we can find another dog like him. We loved him. He was family.
