A donation was made in memory of Woody on
Jul 30, 2015.
We adopted Woody in February 1999, from The Lange Foundation, a rescue group headed by Gillian Lange (we adopted two other dogs from her many years before Woody) Woody had been injured by either a car or motor-cycle hitting him, and his femur bone had almost been shattered. He had a pin put into his right hip and was really a mess when we picked him up. We were on our way home from Phoenix by plane, when we heard from Gillian and went from the airport to the kennel to see Woody. The minute I saw him, and he looked at me with those big brown eyes, I was in love. I knew Woody was ours, and we were lucky enough to have him for 16 years, 9 months. We now adopted another dog, from NKLA (Best Friends) whose name is Kobe, and is a Terrier/Pug mix. He will be 2 on Sept. 27th. He is adorable, active, well and makes us happy every time he jumps into our laps. As Dr. Winter (our vet) says, no one will ever take the place of our Woody, but this little dog needed a good, loving home, and that’s what we will give him for as long as we can. He stopped my crying but will never take away the memories we have of Woody’s years with us.
