This is one of the worst days of my life. I had to make the decision to put my cat down today. Shatze was a beautiful silver tabby persian with big green eyes. He was a loner, not having much to do with the other cats. Such a loving sweet cat; never was a bit of trouble. He liked for me to hold my hand, cupped so he could push into it over and over. That was his pet. He never missed meeting me at the door when I came home.

He was 16 when he got sick; that's a long time to have a best friend. His passing hurts my heart; I'm so lost. I cry, then I stop, then start again. I will miss him forever. The others are very quiet, there's not a noise in the house. They, as well, are mourning. It's a sad day for us all.
