A donation was made in memory of Ripley by
Doctors and Staff of the Alpine Animal Hospital on
Aug 29, 2013.
Ripley was the sweetest girl. Everyone thought so. She had adorable copper-colored eyelashes and crazy cute ears that stuck out at funky angles. She loved bananas and cheese and peanut butter. She liked to run on the beach, sunbathe in the backyard, and roll around in the grass. She moaned ridiculously loud when she dozed. She spent many a happy hour in her “blanket coma”, curled up and completely hidden beneath her favorite fleece throw. She wore tea coats and cozy sweaters whenever she romped through the snow. She stalked our every move. She slept between us in bed. She was the best big sister to her cousin, Sawyer.
When her degenerative disc disease manifested and suddenly worsened, our girl was as brave and strong as her namesake, Ellen Ripley of the Alien movie trilogy. We extend our profound gratitude to Dr. Berthiaume and his staff at the VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle for their expert care and compassion. We offer a special thank you to Dr. Van of the Alpine Animal Hospital for his aide and this gracious donation in Ripley’s honor.
On August 12, 2013 we said goodbye to Ripley Mona Doodle Doxie, our beautiful Redmond Weenie. Seven years wasn’t nearly enough time with her, but we’re grateful for every second we had together. She brought so much love and joy into our lives. She was more than our pet. Ripley was our fur baby. We will miss her forever.
