Little Pup, or better yet, Girl, since this was her nickname, arrived on our door step with not a person in sight. At first, my family did not wish to take her in. But suddenly she got very sick and my mom ended up paying a large bill to keep her with us. From then on she became our beloved pet. And ever since day one, I personally knew that she was the best dog any man could ask for. She had a kind and always loving personality along with the fact that she never bit anyone, not even my baby sister when she was born three years later. In fact, she loved to greet people no matter who they were. You simply couldn't ask for anything better. My family will be forever touched by what she did for us, and no dog can ever replace her, but she has inspired me to take on the responsiblity of helping other dogs in need of a home.
In her final years, I knew what would eventually happen to her but I kept thinking that I had all the time in the world. When I let her go, she left a bigger hole in my heart that can never be filled. You will be missed but forever loved in my heart!
