Kona

A donation was made in memory of Kona by the doctors and staff at Yakima Valley Veterinary Clinic on Feb 01, 2022.

Kona came into the life of me and my family as a rescue dog; she had been terribly abused and she was severely emaciated. However, the moment Kona came to live with us, she knew she had found her forever home. Kona was very verbal and she would talk to us in her own dog language. For example, expressing her frustration if we were gone too long, but quickly forgiving us for leaving her, by giving us lots of kisses and doggy hugs. Kona was extremely easy to train and she loved to eat, yet she was very respectful not to be greedy about sharing her food with her doggy husband, Angel, who was also rescued by our family. When food was left on the table within her reach, Kona would never touch it. I could have put a large pot roast in the middle of the room and Kona would have left it alone; she knew that we would always share our food with her, and so, she would wait patiently for her reward of roast beef, and then seek us out to thank us once she finished her meal. Kona was a blessing to our entire family and we loved her so much. But now, our family finds comfort in the fact that our precious Kona is now our guardian angel. Still continuing to look after all of us, until we see her again in doggy heaven.
