Oreo

A donation was made in memory of Oreo by the doctors and staff at Valley Veterinary Hospital on Feb 25, 2023.

Oreo was a PAWS rescue that I adopted when I was in veterinary school on the island of St Kitts. He was always full of sass and used to bring me centipedes. How kind of him! One night, he alerted me to the fact that someone was trying to break into my apartment. He saved me! I later brought him back to the States, where we continued our veterinary education at Washington State University. I loved to see him sitting in the kitchen window after a hard day. Then, he came home to Ellensburg, and has been part of our lives ever since. He and my husband had quite the bonding events every morning and every evening, as Oreo demanded his lap and had to snoopervise all web surfing. Oreo survived radiated iodine treatment for his thyroid, only to succumb to kidney disease later in life. Oreo lived to the ripe old age of 19 wonderful years. Even when he started to decline, he would still try to get up and greet us every day. He was a huge part of our lives, and we will always miss him and love him. I am grateful for my Caribbean kitty! We were blessed.
