Lucy's Dream

As Lucy went to sleep tonight
She drifted into dreams
Where hopes and wishes blossom
And life is better than it seems

Her tail begins to wag
And her lets go running free
Through the path along the river
She runs to you and me

She chases after Frisbees
She retrieves squeaky toy
She romps and plays in sunlight
No more pain, just endless joy

But as she runs to greet you
Her vision finds a friend
Her favorite furry playmate
Who will hep her to the end

Off she runs towards Betty
They go romping ad they play
'til the wind begins to swirl up
And floats them both away
