A donation was made in memory of Bear by
Marc, the human he chose to rescue on
Feb 12, 2018.
Bear was a rough coated Border Collie. His coat was easy to care for but looked otherwise. He was at PAWS looking for a forever home, but no one wanted him, or his coat. He then went to Border Collie Rescue NW and there I found him. He greeted me as though we had known each other for years, licking my face and sitting in my lap. He even liked our cat. That was in 2007.
Already an adult, he immediately became a member of the family adored by my kids, neighbors, co-workers at my law office, and everyone he met. We camped together all summer every year. He wanted nothing more than to be with his pack, and me in particular. As his health declined, and he began having regular seizures and enduring regular pain, we prepared for the inevitable.
When that day came, I alone took him to the Vet. He sat in my lap and we spent our last minutes of our ten and a half years together. He will never leave my heart no matter how many other dogs I may have in my life. He will always be deeply loved, and never, ever forgotten. 🐻❤️💋💕
