Zoe came to us from the Humane Society of Skagit County. She was the sweetest, most gentle dog ever. We were going to be a therapy dog team after I retired. She would visit my Dad in the care facility, and everyone there loved her. She even was able to attend his gravesite service. Unfortunately, she left us at 3 1/2 years old due to a genetic kidney issue. We were heartbroken. But before she left us, she was the most wonderful pack leader to Aly, who we adopted to be a playmate with Zoe (also adopted from the Humane Society of Skagit County). Zoe taught her how to be a good girl, and Aly, in turn, taught Pepper how to be a good girl.
