We got Dixie at a pet event at the King County Animal Control facility in Kent in the spring of 2008. We walked thru the event and weren't really looking for another dog since we already had a 2 year old Chocolate Lab/Weimaraner mix that we loved dearly. We were leaving when my wife spotted someone with a cardboard box with 2 puppies in it. They appeared to be Chihuahua mix puppies. Needless to say it was love at first sight. We took her home and she quickly stole the hearts of everyone who met her, including Molly, our lab. She grew up going everywhere with us and was about as low maintenance as they come. She was an integral part of our family for over 16 years. She loved the ocean, camping, going to the park, chasing balls and riding in the car. She also loved sitting on your lap, anyone's lap really but especially her mama, my wife Annette. We sadly lost her on October 10th, 2024.
