Slim was with us for 18+ years. He was originally my Mum's cat, and she had named him Ebony. However, when she moved to Seattle from Reno, Nevada, she was told she couldn't keep him in her new apartment because of Seattle Housing regulations, so he lived with me. I think the picture posted here more than explains why I renamed him Slim. Because of sight-impairment, he seemed eccentric in his behavior with friends and family, creeping throughout the house so as not to run into anything. Everyone was very fond of him...he was handsome (as you can see), vain (licking himself the moment people stopped petting him), funny (too many hilarious memories to catalogue here) and so very good-natured...we miss him terribly.
