Jinx showed up to our neighborhood in August 2015. The neighbor had bought him at a pet store. He has always been such a curious and adventurous cat. The neighbor let Jinx wander free even at the age of four months. Everyone was worried sick, but Jinx attached emotionally to our previously-feral cat. Fluff and Fluff showed him the ropes. All cats are somehow attracted to Fluff, and Jinx was a frequent visitor to our place, and liked to sleep inside with Fluff. On July 9, 2016 Jenkins was hit by a car out in the parking lot. He came to us and we took him to the emergency vet. The bill was quite expensive and the neighbor decided to give Jenkins over to us in lieu of the bill. Jinx was always very active, and we joke he “had his own life.” He had what we call. “Jinx Field” a few doors down behind the elementary school where he loved to chase rabbits and wander around. He got up on roofs, brought home snakes and told us what he thought with a unique meow. His passing has been difficult for my husband and I, but we need to see the joy in the fact that Jinx was a wonderful part of our lives, instead of the pain of his loss.
