Toby

A donation was made in memory of Toby by Cheri Brennan and Tom Horsley on Aug 27, 2025.

Toby was adopted from Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue on September 8, 2015. He endured a tough journey as a puppy in Missouri but was blessed to be rescued and fostered by compassionate people who got him transferred to Colorado. He blossomed into a loving, affectionate, loyal, and sweet boy.

He loved car rides, dog parks, friends, and family. He had cute habits like bringing any house visitor a toy in his mouth and would "happy growl" when he was in a good mood. He enjoyed long walks, being in nature, and also being a couch potato.

He traveled extensively and did multiple roadtrips including visits to Canada, Oregon, Yellowstone National Park and the Badlands. He even got to fly on an airplane during the pandemic. Toby was such an easy going pup and adapted to wherever you took him. From camping to fancy hotels, he was adventurous and curious.

Toby was my best friend, my child, and my heart. He changed my life and gave me joy and purpose. His name and legacy lives on in the nonprofit named for him, Toby's Hope. Although cancer ended his life, Toby's journey has helped to give assistance and support to other dogs and their families dealing with canine cancer in Washington state.
