Stanley Ray Sieck

A donation was made in memory of Stanley Ray Sieck by Katie Sieck on Oct 11, 2020.

You came into my life before I knew I needed you most. Your little kitten self nursed me through my first broken heart, and your bigger kitten self nursed me through more after that.

You never failed to make me laugh, smile, or stare at you in stunned amazement, little buddy. Whether you disappeared for hours only to be found sleeping inside my hockey skates, found a vole in the house and brought me a "gift" of said terrified (and alive!) vole while I was in bed, or when on our last night together, you settled against my chest and slept for a little while with your paw on my neck, every day with you was an adventure. I could probably tell a story from every one of our days together.

I am grateful that you let me be your girl. That night that I first saw you on the curb, all scrawny and soaking wet in the rain that you climbed up in that tree above that drainage ditch and let me pick you up that cold, rainy night almost 7 years ago. That you kept meowing that second day of searching so that I could find you and bring you home. It was love at first sight. For all the rescuing I did of you, you did so much more for me.

You were the best cat a girl could have, and the best friend one could have too. You were a silly fatmeats, a rockstar cross-country roadtrip partner (3 times, and twice on a plane!), a grabby hands little hugbug, my little angel baby, and the fuzzy love of my life. I'll carry you in my heart forever.

I love you, Stanny man, and thank you, for everything. ❤️🐾

I am so incredible grateful to Dr. Gordon Jewett and the incredible staff at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Spokane, WA for all they did to support Stanley and I through Stanley's large cell intestinal lymphoma diagnosis, and giving us peace at the end of Stanley's life. We were referred to Dr. Rance Sellon at WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, by Dr. Jewett, and with Dr. Sellon's guidance and the support of the talented vet students, Stanley enjoyed a great quality of life until the end. I so deeply appreciate the compassionate care of my beloved cat, and the way I was both cared for and educated as a caregiver at my time at WSU. I am proud to support the next generation of outstanding veterinary care providers educated by WSU in Stanley's memory.
