The day Abby found me I was looking at other puppies from the Humane Society. While all of them were precious, they didn’t strike a chord in my heart. The woman who was showing the dogs said, “Well, I have another dog in the van, but you probably won’t want to see her. She’s like a wild horse that needs to be broken and hates to be in a collar.” I thought that was a strange thing to say coming from someone from the Humane Society, so I asked to see her. She brought the dog out of the van, set her down…and she immediately ran up to me and wrapped both paws around my wrist. We had found each other!
Abby loved to sit in her chair by the window and watch the world go by and go for walks in the park. She greeted everyone the way she greeted me on that first day…by wrapping her paws around their wrist. She loved everyone!
Abby truly was my best friend. She gave me 10 wonderful years and I miss her dearly.
