Josie passed peacefully at home yesterday. A few hours afterwards I went into the bathroom, closed the door and sat down on the vanity stool and cried. Cried for all the wonderful times we had walking in Point Defiance Park, all the wonderful weekends we spent at the agility shows, Nose Work trials and Barn Hunting trials. Never again would she walk by my side. I wondered how I was going to live without her. After about 30 minutes I dried my eyes, stood up and opened the door. There sat Brody…. paper towels stuffed in his mouth as if to say “You need this Mom??”. I laughed at him and said “With you by my side Brody, I will make it!”
