I rescued Lola, a Cairn terrier, when she was 12 years old. I loved watching her walk around the yard with her tail held straight up. She always got up and went downstairs to potty when you asked her. She lived with me for 19 months, in her old age she developed diabetes. She had had bacterial infections of her gums. It was like being a short-order cook when it was time for Lola's breakfast and dinner. It was very hard to take her to the vet for the last time. I miss her every day.
