Daphne

A donation was made in memory of Daphne by Dr. Leese at Mountain Empire Veterinary Services on Apr 28, 2022.

I rescued Daphne a few years ago from SCRAPS in Spokane and fell in love with her ! I didn’t know she was older than what my vet guessed her age at so I didn’t get to have as many years as I thought I would have and that broke my heart . Whoever had her before me treated her well I am sure of. She was very well mannered and had thee softest and most beautiful coat I have ever touched . She got old rather quickly and started deteriorating with her hips and her throat issue . She had a hard time walking and would fall before she stopped going potty. I would be there every step of the way to support her and be there for her: whatever it takes ya know? After having multiple accidents in the house and just seeing her and her quality of life I had to make that awful decision to take her in and to see if there was anything we could do but it was time and I felt awful. I miss her every day. Like the saying goes “ If love could have saved you: you would have lived forever my sweet Daphne. I miss cuddling with you and petting you constantly. Your absence is felt not only at home and you not physically being here but also in me and the kids hearts. I carry your pink bandanna with me wherever I go sweet girl and I look at your sweet red heart urn and wish I could have had much longer with you in our lives: you were/ are the sweetest dog in the world !
