Buddy joined our family by way of a rescue organization adoption. At the time his age, about five or so, and history were unknown. However, it was obvious that he came from a situation of neglect and most likely abuse. He also had special medical needs, among them being dry eye that required drops every day. The routine of giving him his eye drops, the view of an appreciative wagging tail in anticipation of the obligatory treat for being such a good patient was the way I stared every morning, and oh, how I miss that. However, Buddy shared his love equally between both my wife and I. During the day, he became her shadow and constant companion living up to his name in every sense. As note above, Buddy had special medical needs, which the Veterinarians and staff at Valley Veterinary Hospital in Ellensburg attended. We cannot thank them enough for both the caring and compassionate way they treated him. Although we only had five wonderful years with Buddy, he will live in our hearts forever.
