David DeGrasse

A donation was made in memory of David DeGrasse by Dana Dwinell on Jan 15, 2024.

David picked me. He was a stray who came into my yard - a dog I didn’t want. I already had a dog, a big dog - an Italian Mastiff (Cane Corso). I shooed the stray out but he was persistent and found his way in again, in spite of fencing (he dug his way under the fence). I called Bob’s Rescue Angels who came with a loop and took him away. Then…I felt really badly and called Bob back and asked if I could “try out David for the next day”. So 10 years later left for good - over the rainbow. He was an incredible dog; sweet and gentle and everyone who met him loved him. The last two years were really hard because he was very sick in January 2022 with an autoimmune disease that nearly killed him. Then two months ago his liver was barely functioning and I knew his time was short. He not only had a wonderful disposition but he was a great looking dog. Dr. Kegley was the vet who took care of him two years ago and Dr. Cambra for the last couple years. They are both graduates of WSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
