Fuji came to us as a gift from a friend at 8 weeks old. What a true delight he was from the beginning. He loved to talk from the start, loved laps (on his terms), and played catch with small balls and wads of paper by leaping in the air.
He had several obstacles to overcome during his 19 years with us. During a visit at Chambers Creek Veterinary when he was a few years old, my Mom picked him up for us and he jumped out of her car in the parking lot and ran off. It was a hard time for us all.
With help from the veterinary employees, some of the customers and perseverance by us following many leads, we found him after 30 days across the street. It was a very joyful time for our family.
Fuji’s next challenge was to tackle chemo at the age of 8. Luckily Dr. Pete diagnosed his thyroid condition early and with the treatment at the Lynnwood Clinic, medication, and lots of love, it worked to keep him with us for many more years.
We were truly blessed to have him in our family. He gave us many years of enjoyment. The love he gave us and allowed us to return was priceless.
Thank you to Chambers Creek Veterinary for honoring our Fuji with their donation to the WSU Pet Memorial Fund.
