Astro, you were the best dog ever. You gave us so much love, attention and laughter. Whether it was reminding us of your walk time, your official "pancake" day, or play time with your toys, you always did it gently (and perhaps with a little bit of exasperation). Who could not love a dog that when they "escaped", which was almost never, they went to the front of the house and sat on the porch waiting to be let back in? A dog that the naughtiest they ever were was to steal a favorite stuffy from one of the human pack and leave it unscathed in the middle of the floor for us to discover when we got home? A dog that put itself in its pen by opening the pen door? A dog that figured out water could be had by pushing the water dispenser on the refrigerator? And most important to us, a dog that everyone who ever met you and who subsequently heard of your passing would inevitably say, "he was the best dog ever". We miss you!
