Gilbert was found at the rest area north of town when he was 7 months old. We adopted him into out family and he ended up being the best dog we could have asked for. Years of adventures took their toll and when he was 12 we ended up in search of some physical rehabilitation to help him as he aged. He loved his time at WSU and looked forward to his visits walking on the underwater treadmill and acupuncture. After being diagnosed with bone cancer, he stayed with us as long as he could and then when the pain was too much, we made the choice to let him go. He was a big brave dog and was loved by all who met him.
