Sara

A donation was made in memory of Sara by Corinne Lyn Deal on Nov 10, 2009.

My parents had been without a dog for about a year when their last little mixed breed passed away after 12 years

with them. Mom decided it was time to find another dog so she looked and looked for the breed she has always

wanted a Yorki. Mom found an ad in the Seattle Times for a female Yorki that was for sale in Bremerton. So we

jumped into my Datsun B210 and drove over to Bremerton to check this little girl out. When mom and I walked

into the house she was sitting in a small circular play area with her little brother. Mom knew instantly she was the

one. On our way back home Sara climbed right on the back of mom’s neck and stayed there the whole trip – they

were best friends from the start.

When she got home dad also fell in love with her. Sara was always mom and dad’s companion on long road trips

and short day trips. She went to the grocery store with them and accompanied them to visit other family members.

Dad and Sara really became buddies taking each other for a walk several times a day and just hanging out together

in the yard. They even had a path they walked every day. Sara would even eat breakfast and dinner with them. Sara

would also eat lunch with dad promptly at 1pm each day.

Sara has brought such joy to everyone who has come to know her – from family to friends. She was loving, gentle

and a special spirit. We all have noticed a emptiness since her passing and is one of the most difficult losses our

family has faced.
