Nicholas came into our life with his brother Logan in the fall of 2000, born on June 23, 2000. They weighed only a little more than 2 pounds each, so small they each fit in a hand. Nicholas was very smart and loved to trick his brother. This was apparent at a very early age. He had figured out how to jump on the bed and Logan hadn't at that point. We finally put Logan up on the bed with us and he immediately tried to get the toy from Nicholas. Nicholas very purposefully jumped off the bed with the toy and of course Logan followed. Nicholas then immediately jumped back up on the bed because he knew his brother couldn't follow him. He was always up to some trick, but Logan figured out many of them. Nicholas was probably the sweetest dog we have ever known and he and his brother Logan brought us much joy. He died on June 4, 2014, leaving us exactly 6 months to the day after his brother Logan. We will miss him and his brother for the rest of our lives, but we're grateful for the wonderful years we had with them.
