Georgia
A donation was made in memory of Georgia by the doctors and staff at Green Lake Animal Hospital on Nov 26, 2024.
Where do I even start to tell her story and how do I begin to say goodbye to my little brown angel, my best friend of the past 14.5 years?
Trailrunner Georgia Dilettante Mettler - Also Known as Georgia or Baby G was the best dog a girl could ever ask for!
There are not enough words to express the pain of losing little Baby Georgia Friday November 22, 2024. I am gutted and my world is a very different place.
Little G brought so much happiness to me, my family and my clients. She loved bananas, tennis balls and trail runs. Above all she loved all the wonderful people in her life- her aunties and her favorite of all - Grandpa!! She loved to go sniffing with Grandpa to whatever park he chose that day or to learn about the dump! 😂 Thank you to the village who helped take care of my girl. She had so many wonderful adventures.
Little G was so smart and funny and an amazing runner (looked like a greyhound)! She logged many miles with me and loved her trail running most of all. (just like mom) She knew when to play and she was a champion napper! She loved to hike and swim, run and jump off the dock into lake Chelan and no matter where we were she could always find a tennis ball without even breaking stride. She was playing in the park and chasing tennis balls until the day we lost her.
One could set a clock by her as she always knew when it was 4am and time for breakfast and starting every afternoon around 3:30 she would wake up from a dead sleep to start reminding me that it was dinner time soon. She was a true creature of habit and she would tell you if you forgot something. She was not a barker but instead would literally talkuntil someone figured out what it was that was wrong. (door shut when it should be open, forgotten after dinner treat, tennis ball under the chair, time to eat....)
December of 2020 I lost my mom and in July of 2021 I was in an accident that changed my life 100% in a matter of seconds. The kind of accident you never think will happen to you. Baby Georgia is what gave me reason to keep going and gave me a reason to fight to find a new normal. She was my constant friend and companion and my little light through many dark days. She is my soulmate and truly the Love of my life.
There is no way to sum up all that she was and there are so many stories to tell.... so instead a note to my girl.
Georgia, I hope you are having so much fun chasing tennis balls in Heaven. I hope you have visited grandma and are getting to play with your friends Titan, Nasdaq, Bella and Finn.
I MISS YOU EVERY DAY!
I am so so so blessed to have been given the opportunity to be your mom. Thank you, my sweet girl for your endless love. Thank you for knowing when I needed you most and always knowing how to make me smile. The wet nose at 4am like clock work is missed and you jumping into bed to cuddle through a couple of snoozes! Our afternoon walks You brought me so much happiness and joy
As I told you the night I had to say goodbye. I will love you forever. You are forever a part of my heart and soul. You will forever be my baby G and the best thing that ever happened to me. I selfishly did not want to ever let you go. I miss you so much. My world will never be the same.
You are my little flying lab.....fly my baby girl fly. Forever and always, your mom. Lesley XOXO
PS- Thank you for the beautiful shooting star the night I lost you to let me know you were there; you were okay and that you will be watching over me.
