A donation was made in memory of Orbit by
Dr. Lindsay Hucke on
Oct 30, 2009.
I lost Orbit unexpectedly on August 21, 2009 at just under 7 years old. He was "It" for me. He was such a quirky, beautiful, sensitive loving soul. I can't describe how deep are connection went. He loved bananas. We shared one everyday together. But he especially loved peaches and would sit and wait for hours for them to drop off the Peach tree in spite of my efforts to net /fence the tree to prevent him from doing just that! He wasn't your typical type A Dalmatian. He hated to exercise. It had to be an adventure to get him fired up. But when he did enjoy running, he looked like a rocking horse. Adorable When he felt like he wasn't getting enough attention, he would hide under the bed to pout. I would then have to tell him how much I loved him to coax him out from under the bed. After so many peaches it was a tight squeeze! I could go on and on. He was everything to me. Orbit was my one in a lifetime love. I am grateful for every moment I had with him.
I am deeply touched that Dr. Lindsay Hucke would make a donation to the Pet Memorial Program at Washington State University in Honor of Orbit, as she did everything she could to save him.
Little did I know that when I created I this stained glass piece of him, I was memorializing him then, but I am so grateful now that I did.
