July 5 2018 Our dearest dog, Joey, When we first met you, and your litter mates, it truly was love at first sight. Your siblings continued to tumble and play with each other, but YOU, Joey, happily trotted over to us, with your tail wagging like crazy! You boldly climbed into our laps, licked our faces, then looked at us squarely in the eyes. We think you must have been trying to tell us, “Pick me, pick me!” Sure enough, at that moment we did! Our love for you started at that moment, and our deep affection and eternal love for you will bind us together forever. You brought so much joy to our family, and to every single person you met. No one could resist petting your beautiful, soft golden fur and getting a quick cuddle from you. Joey, you were everyone’s dog, but we were fortunate enough to call you, ours. We have been on long road trips, beach house visits and hundreds of daily walks together. Wherever we went people adored and loved on you. They just couldn’t resist your sweet face and your friendly, outgoing personality. You will be missed by many, but especially by our family. We will miss your adorable, sweet face, giving you belly rubs, treating you with ice cream cones, swimming in the pool, and just always being by our sides. Joey, you were courageous, fearless, and protective. You were also very silly, goofy and playful. Most of all, Joey, you were a kind, loving, gentle spirit that helped our family heal from tragic loss.

Joey, we thought we had a lot longer with you. Six years was way too short. Beloved Joey, you fought the battle with all you had. We all did our best to heal you, but sometimes things are bigger than we are. We are beyond devasted to say good-bye to you. Please forgive us, but we couldn’t watch you suffer any longer. So, as we return you to Mother Earth, and you cross the Rainbow Bridge, we pray, you find renewed health and your beautiful, playful spirit returns to you on the other side. We pray you will somehow find many of our family members, especially our son, Travis. We know you will share your devotion, comfort, joy and love with him. We want you to breathe freely and live happily chasing rabbits and lizards to your heart’s content. Swim, jump, fetch and chase your tail! Joey, you will forever be our Spirit-Animal; guiding us and watching over us. We will forever miss you and love you with all our hearts. Until we are reunited for eternity… Joey Bleu (Bubba) Weidner 3/2012-7/2018 You have left BIG paw prints on our hearts! Mom & Dad Weidner & The Weidner Family (Connie & Randy Weidner)
