Memorial for Lita, written by Robin Ard:

We lost our beautiful Lita (named after Lita Ford cuz she was rockin’) March 1st 2018 after 17.5 years of love and companionship. I say “we” because she was loved and is missed by many but she was my cat from when she was 8 weeks old until her death. She was my child as I never had any human children. A cat and a person change over 17+ years so it is difficult to summarize her life. She was the softest cat I and anyone else had ever met. Her beauty was breathtaking. When she was a kitten she was so cute she didn't even look real if that makes sense. She was pretty, petite and never lost her beauty. She looked like a young kitty her whole life. The last few years she started squeaking when I came home or when she saw anyone she loved. In addition to many chirps and squeaks, she started what we called “The Silent Meow” where she would open her mouth and no sound would come out. She loved to hold mommy’s hand and rest her head there. She was pretty, smart, sweet, soulful, protective, loving, a catnip aficionado and playful up until the end. I asked her at age 4 to never get sick (we had just lost our other feline friend Tonic at age 8 to cancer) and to live until at least 15. She did that and more for me. I am proud and privileged to have had her in my life and I will miss her forever.
