Baci – 3/10/2015
Baci was my first adopted dog, and what a match made in heaven-- my kindred spirit who was such a fun-loving, affectionate, sensitive, and adventurous soul. He lived up to his name, doling out his daily dose of kisses (Baci = kisses in Italian). He was loved by so many and probably holds some sort of record for the most nicknames.
Baci taught me what it meant to be resilient and to not lose sight of the little wonders and simple pleasures in life, especially after surviving cancer—a fibrosarcoma he developed at the age of 5. I am so grateful and can’t speak highly enough of the great staff at WSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital (Dr. Fidel, Dr. Sellon, Betsy Wheeler) and of the excellent care and treatment for his cancer.
Happy to say Baci carried on a very active and fun-filled life to the age of 14. He has taught me well, and I keep up my daily walks and exercise, remembering to stop and smell the roses. I will forever hold him close to my heart and look forward to the day we reunite at the Rainbow Bridge. Kisses forever, my sweet Baci.
