Rocky (Jan. 22, 2001 to Jan. 16, 2010)
We lost our beloved yellow labrador almost three years after he was diagnosed with osteocarcoma. He was an inspiration to us all. Even right after we had to amputate his front leg in hopes of stopping the growth, he was ready to run.
He was still able to run 3 miles (even more but the vet did not recommend it) up until the last year. He went through chemotherapy and it seemed to have worked, for awhile.
Then this last year it had moved to his lungs. He was a fighter all the way and never seemed to let it bother him, always wagging his tail when he saw us.
He loved going to Cannon Beach and playing with the other dogs. He was the sweetest dog and we will miss him dearly.

Comments: My heart dropped when I heard about Rocky's passing. Before and during his illness he was always such a sweet and happy dog. I'll miss him so much..seeing him run towards me when I went to visit, seeing his excitement. He was such a people lover. Never aggressive or intimidating. The way he would lean on people when he wanted more loving pats and scratches. His eyes were so expressive and dear. That Rocky was one of a kind and will always have a special place in my heart. Now he can be with Copper..both running and playing together. No longer sick. Just happy and free.
