Kelli

A donation was made in memory of Kelli on Apr 07, 2010.

Kelli will be remembered for her many different meows. It was like a symphony of hellos, where's my food, let me out but all in different melodies. What a character.

She adopted us from our neighbors next door. She had a rough start to life, losing her tail to the Rottweilers she lived with at that home. She was slow to come around, rather crabby (can you blame her?) and often caught us by surprise with her attitude and a swift claw. But over the years she warmed up to us and became a member of our family.
She loved to sun herself on our front porch, and became my trusted "weeding" and gardening partner. To this day I still miss her when pulling up weeds.
My most treasured memory of Kelli was when we went on a trail ride with our three horses. Little did we know, Kelli had stowed herself away a top one of our saddles in the tack room of our trailer. When we opened the door, there she was, looking no worse for the wear uttering out a completely content "Meeew" in that treasured symphony voice that she had.
She is in our hearts now. All good memories. She outlived many of our other animals at was finally put to rest at 15 1/2 years of age. A long life for a special cat who taught me many lessons in life.
