A donation was made in memory of Toffee by

Toffee was our sunshine, angel, and light of our lives. We had him and his brother, Duke, since they were 8 weeks old. They grew up like two peas in a pod - fighting over their favorite stuffed toy, begging for table scraps, and chasing butterflies outside every summer. He was the sweetest, funniest, most photogenic, and most loving friend you could ask for.
We were acquainted with the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2025, where Toffee was treated for Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). He was given life-saving care by Dr. Minchan Kim and his team of student veterinarians. Toffee fought hard through 3 blood-transfusions and a week in the ICU. He made a miraculous recovery and was in remission and good health for almost a year, until he suffered a complete CCL tear in his hind leg. Due to the risks of surgery with his auto-immune condition and the great deal of pain he was in, we made the difficult decision to say goodbye on June 1st, 2026, his 7th birthday. We thank the hard-working, dedicated team at WSU for the extra time they were able to give us with him.
Buggy - We feel your loss every day. You're not there at the dinner table begging for food. You're not waiting by the window for me to come home. Our belly rubs, nose kisses, and conversations are no more. We miss you every single day. We hope you're no longer in pain and running free with all of the butterflies and snackies that the rainbow bridge has to offer. You were the best boy anyone could ask for. I can't wait for the day we get to see each other again. I'll look for you as soon as I get there. We love you, always.
