Richie crossed the rainbow bridge due to the misdiagnosis. We went to the ER and the vet at the moment performed the sedated oral exam and suspected it is MMM (Masticatory Muscle Myositis). She released him with strong pain meds (Codeine, Gabapentin). She didn't give us an option or suggest other exams to be performed other than drawing his blood sample for the MMM test which has its results coming back in 7-12 business days. His symptoms got worse and we called the ER multiple times. They advised us to keep giving medicines and all his symptoms point to MMM. His condition only exacerbated and we went to our primary vet and she transferred us to ER. It turned out to be the infection. The infection quickly spread.

He passed away that night in the ER.
