On March 28, 2023, we said a heartbreaking goodbye to our wonderful and adventurous girl Ronan at the end of a remarkable 16 years of life. Though we knew our time with her was growing short this year, it was still a shock to have her gone from our lives, where she was such an integral part of who we are and what we do as a family. We adopted her from Seattle Humane in 2009, at almost three years of age and after two other families. She quickly demonstrated the confidence and determined nature that would exemplify her active life in forest, field, mountain, river, lake and park. She had a lighter brown color than any other chocolate Labrador, and a repertoire of barks that we learned to interpret as we grew closer together. She was a commanding presence in any room, and a beautiful, loyal, and patient friend every day. Our lives feel so empty now without her vocal, charming, and loving energy surrounding us.

We are grateful to Green Lake Animal Clinic and Animal Medical Center of Seatle for all their dedication, and loving care all during her many years. As Ronan goes to play beyond the Rainbow Bridge, we will forever cherish the memories we have of her exuberant soul and our life that was made so full with her in it.
