Hailey arrived at the shelter the day before I was scheduled to adopt another dog. I'm so grateful that the foster lady insisted then that Hailey was a better fit for me. She is the first dog I've ever had and despite our first meeting being 10 years ago, I still think back fondly of that day. It feels like we were fated to cross paths and indeed she has given me so much joy, hope and love throughout the years we've spent together. I have a family now, but for many years it was Hailey who gave me something to look forward to when I came home everyday. Thank you Hailey and I hope we will meet again one day.
