Hala was a lovely, lovely dog. She was rescued from an Oregon PM at the age of 7 and was a delight from Day 1. She was my constant companion and we delighted in each other. I miss her desperately!!! The last almost year of her life was spent with some dear friends who also had 2 cairn terriers. I was in hospital and could not take care of her, but my friends stepped up, and she was happy. When she finally came home, we were both happy. I had to go back to hospital for a week, after several months though. She went with a friend to these same friends again but it was never the same. She loved at me, as was being led away, as if to say, "What did I DO, Mum?" She came home once I was back but had stopped eating. At one point, she went the wrong way at the beach. She had NEVER done that. I think she had a brain tumor, then a stroke. I think she gave up and thought I didn't want her. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Dear little girl.. your Mummy loves you to the moon and back. You are up at the Bridge with my other doggies., who have gone before you, and we'll all be together before long/. Love Mummy
