Malcolm and me. Knowing me is knowing my dog. I’m so incredibly saddened and heartbroken to share the passing of my handsome sweet boy, my best friend, my shadow. By my side, or should say I was by his side (it was his world), Malcolm and I had 12 years of adventures. Road trips to Glacier, where he learned to swim, and thru Utah and Az national parks with his sister, Maya, who was just a puppy, are a few of many. We howled together. Malcolm was an amazing big bro to Maya (a lab who now sometimes thinks she’s a Scottish Terrier). Malcolm loved chasing squirrels and guarding the house and yard. He loved spending time with his Grammy and Grampa and running on their deck and beach. Too many memories to count and they’re flooding me as I begin to grieve. He “rolled over”. He chilled on his “rug”. He was a proud and dignified dog. He gave me everything. The love was unconditional. I miss the daily neighborhood walks to the park. I miss his head on my shoulder. I miss cuddling with him. The little things. Malcolm will be missed in my heart every day of my remaining life. Maya misses his brother. God, we miss him. His memory is a blessing. RIP My Boy.
