Tiffany, a shetland pony, was running loose in a housing development in Renton WA. Animal control and the police tried 8 hours to catch her. She had been living in a shed in a backyard and was running around Tiffany Park and Tiffany Elementary School. Jill Hallin assisted in catching her and took her home until the City of Renton went through the process of seizing her. Six months later they gave the pony to Jill, whose riding students and family worked years to settle down the somewhat feral pony. She lived 10+ years at the Hallin farm, and eventually she was accepting of pats, treats, general handling and even submitted to yearly shots and her feet being trimmed. She loved bossing around her gelding stable and pasture mates and lived to spend time with them. She is missed. Her estimated age was about 20 years old and although it is unknown how she spent the first few years of her life, the last 10 years were wonderful to her and those of us lucky to know her.
