Louie

A donation was made in memory of Louie by Debra Wall on Aug 08, 2021.

We rescued Louie who was near death two days after he had a brain injury at 3 months of age. We nursed him back to health with the help of his Veterinarian, Dr. Daniel Bastian at Valley Veterinary in Ellensburg, WA. He was a normal cat in every way, the injury affected his left side a bit, but he could run, jump and play beautifully. He started having seizures at 5 months, and was put on medication and did well. Louie loved the outdoors, on a harness and leash, rides in his pet stroller and adored car rides and meeting people. He was my regular coffee buddy at the Starbucks near my home. We took him on a 3 day vacation over the North Cascades in June this year, and it was the best time. We used a pet stroller and walked trails and around towns we visited. He was truly one of a kind…loved by all he met and gave much love to all! Sadly, on July 21st, we found out Louie had lymphoma. He had gotten sick very quickly, and would not recover. My husband and I were devastated, and on July 22nd, we had him euthanized. Our last 24 hrs. with him were so full of love, and we miss him terribly. Louie taught us so much in his short life of one year…about giving love, being brave and living life beautifully! We will never forget this beautiful boy!
