Gus was the snuggliest pup, which was fantastic except that he was also a pokey little puppy with nothing but sharp angles to his body. Didn't matter to him, and he was happy to hop up beside you and flop his head back on your chest until you gave him infinite scritches. He was deeply insecure around dogs bigger than him, but he compensated by being as cocky as a 35 lb dog can be. He was intensely protective of the ones he claimed as his, but absolutely terrified of the vet. Poor guy had to be stoned out of his puppy mind to go near that place. We gave him the best life we knew how to give and he repaid us richly. We miss our little dude every day.
