Fred came to our bird feeder in poor condition one summer day. A friend brought us a cage and food and we didn't think he would make it through the night but he was with us for 25 years. I asked him many times where he had flown from, locally or Lewiston, but he just whistled and said pretty bird so we will never know. If not for the services of WSU vet hospital Fred would not have survived as long as he did. Thanks to Dr. Logsdon and the technicians for their care.
