Murphy - a purebred Newfoundlander (breeder name Viking's Valour), was born March 5, 2007. We raised him from a pup, and my 3 children grew up with him. He was a loving, gentle, and soft-hearted boy, who loved playing at the beach, playing with the kids, and chasing rabbits in the woods. My 6 year old spent her whole life with him, and her fondest memories are of taking him camping, snuggling on the floor with him, and teaching him tricks for treats.
We lost Murphy on December 26th, 2014, to cancer. It was an incredible shock, and my family will feel the effects of his loss for the rest of our lives. He wasn't a pet, he was our family. A major source of emotional support for all of us, he was always ready to snuggle up with us when we needed him. Our hearts will never stop loving and missing him.
